What is Rapid Software Testing?
Rapid Testing as a mind-set, and a skill set about how to do excellent software testing in a way that is very fast, inexpensive, credible, and accountable.
The Rapid Software Testing course is a three-day class in which participants learn about Rapid Testing mostly through a series of experiential exercises—many of which are computer-based—designed to model real-life testing situations.
The exercises are supplemented with debriefs and discussions which explore and contextualize the classroom experience with life in the real world.
Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring their own testing problems from the workplace for analysis and discussion in class. You can read more about the class here: http://www.developsense.com/courses/RapidSoftwareTesting.pdf.
Michael provides a free fourth day of consulting, coaching, hands-on testing work, presentations, more exercises, question-and-answer sessions, testing clinics, or other activities to be agreed between us; whatever you like. If you'd like Michael to present talks to programmers and/or managers, that's cool too.
Typically the class is limited to 24 people. The reason for this is that it's highly interactive, immersive, hands-on, discussion- and debrief-focused. The more people there are, the fewer get a chance to speak and to interact.
On the other hand, whenever there are fewer people in the room than the limit, you're entitled to invite anyone you like. Programmers, managers, tech support people, documentors; all other members of the project community are welcome and encouraged to attend. That actually makes the class a good deal richer, so Michael recommends it.
